Because bids never expire and every new leader has to clear the last one, the top price only ever moves in one direction. That is the entire mechanic, and it is worth understanding before you bid: you are buying a position that someone else can take from you later, and the money does not come back.

What you get in return is the plainest form of attention there is. The board makes no promises about clicks, conversions or outcomes — only about where your listing sits relative to everyone else who paid.
